Description

100% rye bread with coriander and caraway seeds and a bit of blackstrap molasses. Made the day before and wrapped in paper to allow the texture and flavours to settle. Sliced thin with pickled herring is the classic combo- or just have marmite….
This loaf will last a long time and the flavour even improves.
A note on the name: there are various versions of where the name comes from but most refer to the Battle of Borodino in the Napoleonic Wars.
